Francisco Walking Stick F1 is a walking stick for older adults, held one in each hand and sold as a set of two.
A conventional cane supports only one side of the body with one hand. Francisco is used with both hands, so two feet and two sticks meet the ground at four points. This widens the base of support and improves walking stability. Randomized controlled trials published in international journals report that walking with poles improves balance and functional mobility in older adults, and such gains in stability are discussed as contributing to reduced fall risk.
The lower pipe is made of 7001 duralumin, a high-strength alloy used in aircraft, with an anodized finish for durability. Each stick weighs approximately 200g, light enough to lift with a single finger, which matters for users who decide each morning whether a walk feels manageable. Twist-lock height adjustment from 62 to 95cm requires no tools and fits users of any height, including those with a smaller build or a stooped posture. The stick also features anti-shock absorption, a textured non-slip rubber tip, and a wrist strap.
Inside the rubber tip is a stopper, a component invisible from the outside. Without it, the lower pipe presses directly against the tip, wearing a hole through it and exposing bare metal that transmits noise and impact to the hand and arm. The stopper prevents this contact, so the tip wears evenly like the sole of a shoe. Replacement tips are supplied free of charge for ten years, once per year, with shipping charged separately in Korea.
The product holds a certificate of conformity to Korean safety standards for canes for older adults, issued by the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL). It is manufactured by a Korean specialist producer that supplies trekking poles to global outdoor brands including K2 and The North Face.
The line is expanding to four models combining two grip types with duralumin and carbon shafts.
This app is designed for people with aphasia and older adults who experience difficulty communicating due to word-retrieval impairments. It presents pictorial symbols for individual words, allowing users to select multiple words and express their thoughts as accurate, natural sentences and synthesized speech.
An AI language model recommends appropriate words based on each user’s preferences and context, significantly reducing the number of clicks required for word selection. This enables users to generate spoken sentences of approximately eight words within 20 seconds.
BTCARE is a wellness solution that combines VR-based cognitive activity content with AI-powered behavioral data analysis. Through everyday-life simulations, such as finding items in a virtual supermarket, selecting target stimuli, completing virtual cooking tasks in the correct sequence, and navigating virtual spaces. It collects performance data related to memory, attention, executive function, and spatial cognition.
BTCARE analyzes data generated through the HMD, including response time, accuracy, error count, gaze patterns, and head movements. It then automatically classifies results and performance levels by cognitive domain and provides personalized outcome reports and management information for institutions.
The solution offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty levels, along with practice, assessment, and training modes. Its senior-friendly UI/UX enhances accessibility and ease of use, making it suitable for welfare centers, senior care institutions, and health promotion facilities.
Positioned as a consumer wellness product rather than a medical device, BTCARE is pursuing overseas field validation and commercialization through multilingual interfaces and locally tailored content.
The HiMedi Lightweight 2-Section Walking Cane is designed to provide practical support for comfortable everyday mobility. Weighing approximately 230 g, it is light enough for daily use and convenient to carry when walking, shopping, traveling, or visiting the hospital. Its two-section construction and multi-level height adjustment allow the cane length to be set to suit different users and walking preferences.
A T-shaped handle provides a stable, easy-to-hold grip, helping the user maintain a natural hand position while walking. The attached wrist strap adds convenience when the cane needs to be held temporarily or carried during an outing. At the bottom, a durable rubber tip helps reduce slipping and improves contact with the floor or ground during normal use. The slim shaft keeps the overall design simple, lightweight, and easy to handle without unnecessary bulk.
HiMedi focuses on the small details that make a walking cane easier to use every day. The adjustable structure makes it suitable for a variety of heights, while the straightforward locking and adjustment design allows users to prepare the cane quickly before use. Its lightweight body is especially useful for people who want a cane that is less tiring to carry during longer outings.
The cane is available in Black, Brown, and a Floral pattern, allowing users to choose a style that suits their preference. From neighborhood walks and shopping trips to travel, hospital visits, and everyday indoor use, the HiMedi Lightweight 2-Section Walking Cane offers a simple and convenient way to add support to daily movement. Adjust the cane to a comfortable height, make sure the locking point is securely fixed, and use it on suitable surfaces for safer, more comfortable walking.
An eco-friendly height-adjustable washbasin powered solely by tap water pressure without electricity. Operating entirely without electrical power, it eliminates the risk of electric shocks and short circuits, making it exceptionally safe for humid bathroom environments. Ergonomically designed to provide optimal height adjustment for wheelchair users, the elderly, and children, this product serves as an ideal universal design solution for accessible housing, welfare facilities, and healthcare centers.
The Assistive Dishwashing Kit is designed to support individuals with hemiplegia or other limitations in bilateral hand use, enabling them to wash dishes more easily using 1 hand. By securely holding tableware in place, the device reduces the need to continuously stabilize the item, allowing the available hand to be used for scrubbing and cleaning.
The kit consists of 2 components designed for different types of tableware: a bowl-holding device and a plate-holding device. The bowl-holding device automatically adjusts to the size of the bowl when placed on it, ensuring commonly used items, such as rice and soup bowls, remain securely positioned during washing. Once the bowl is lifted, the holding mechanism automatically releases and returns to its initial position.
The plate-holding device features adjustable spacing between its 2 supports, enabling plates of various sizes to be held upright and securely. Furthermore, the locking mechanism can be positioned on either the left or right side, allowing users to secure and release the plate with 1 hand, depending on their available hand.
Both devices operate without electricity or batteries. By reducing unwanted movement and slipping of tableware, the kit effectively supports the process of stabilizing and washing dishes with 1 hand.
Mobility Safety and SOS Assistive Device for the Visually Impaired is an open-source smart personal safety alarm designed to ensure the safe mobility of individuals who experience walking difficulties, such as the visually impaired, the elderly, and other physical minorities. It was developed to improve upon the passive response and poor usability for people with disabilities found in conventional safety alarms, allowing users to request help easily and quickly.
The assistive device consists of hardware (the alarm unit) and software (the mobile application). Designed to resemble a keycap accessory on the outside, the device can be discreetly carried as an everyday personal safety item without looking like a traditional self-defense tool. Users can press the keycap switch to respond flexibly to different situations: pressing it briefly triggers a "general assistance request" to notify those nearby when help is needed without urgency, while pressing and holding the switch for 2 seconds or longer during an emergency activates a continuous alarm for 3 minutes and sends the user's current GPS location along with an emergency rescue message to a pre-configured number via the application. Additionally, false alarms can be easily managed by pressing and holding the switch for 5 seconds or more to cancel the alert.
This modular assistive system enables individuals with limited hand function to perform daily activities independently using a dedicated, customized handle tailored to their grasp characteristics. People with reduced hand strength or mobility due to brain lesions or spinal cord injuries often struggle because everyday tools differ widely in handle size and shape.
The system consists of an ergonomic handle optimized for the user's hand and interchangeable adapters that interface with various assistive and everyday tools. It features an intuitive, one-touch mechanism: sliding an adapter into the handle slot engages a secure push-to-lock connection, while pressing an external button enables quick release. This allows users with weak grip strength or limited fine motor control to exchange adapters independently without assistance, enhancing independence in ADLs.
A variety of handles corresponding to natural hand shapes (spherical, disc, and hook) and practical adapters (can openers, powered wheelchair joysticks, and more) are freely accessible via the "Open Platform." Users can also propose custom handle or adapter concepts through the Open platform, fostering a sustainable, continuously expanding assistive technology ecosystem driven by user demand.
