1. Product Features
NINEBED consists of 11 independently driven cells, each equipped with 7 pressure sensors for a total of 77 sensors that measure the user's interface pressure in real time. A built-in fuzzy logic controller compares the measured values against a preset threshold and automatically controls both the vertical travel of each cell and the tilting motion for repositioning, maintaining interface pressure below 32 mmHg - the threshold at which capillary blood flow is occluded.
2. Key Functions
1) Alternating Pressure Relief : Odd- and even-numbered cells rise and fall alternately on a selectable cycle (3 / 5 / 60 minutes), preventing sustained localized pressure.
- Pressure Redistribution : Real-time readings from 77 sensors determine where pressure is high or low, and cell heights are automatically adjusted to reduce peak pressure.
- Automatic Repositioning (Tilting) : At preset intervals, the bed tilts up to 19° to the left and right, periodically shifting the loaded body area to prevent pressure ulcers while reducing the physical burden of manual repositioning on caregivers.
- Backrest and Leg Rest : Adjustable from 0~72° (backrest) and 0~15° (leg rest) to support daily activities such as eating and sitting up.
- Massage : A massage mode enhances user comfort and long-term compliance.
Developed by Robocare, 'BOMI-2' is an autonomous home cognitive training robot that simultaneously cares for the brain health and daily routine of the elderly. It features a round, softly curved exterior and affectionately makes eye contact while displaying a variety of expressions through its front facial screen. It also builds emotional connections in everyday life through cute, natural gestures, such as moving its arms to give a warm greeting or performing rhythmic movements.
The most distinctive feature of BOMI-2 is its cognitive training program based on tool-type smart blocks specialized for brain health. It helps seniors manually hold plastic, cube-shaped smart blocks to solve puzzles or complete words. The activity of actively moving their hands to fit the plastic blocks together on a dedicated board linked to the robot stimulates seniors' fine motor skills and maximizes brain activity, demonstrating a highly effective role in preventing dementia.
Furthermore, it flawlessly performs daily care functions by meticulously providing voice reminders for medication and personal schedules at designated times, frequently checking on the senior's well-being, and sending immediate alerts to caregivers in the event of any abnormal signs or emergency situations.
Hyodol is a senior care robot developed by Hyodol Co., Ltd. Designed to look like a cute seven-year-old grandson, it is made of a soft and cozy fabric that provides seniors with a sense of psychological comfort when they hug or stroke it. Featuring the bright and affectionate voice of a young child, it uses friendly phrases like, "Grandma, it's time to take your medicine," or "Grandpa, I love you," helping to form a deep emotional bond.
Hyodol also performs various daily caregiving tasks. Equipped with touch sensors in its head, ears, hands, and back, it interacts by responding with cute remarks when seniors stroke it or hold its hand. Additionally, through a dedicated smartphone app, caregivers can set voice reminders for waking up, going to bed, meals, and medication times, helping seniors maintain a regular and healthy lifestyle. Its motion detection sensor monitors the senior's movements in real time and sends an immediate emergency alert to the caregiver or social worker if no movement is detected for a certain period. Furthermore, it offers cognitive enhancement and leisure content, such as dementia prevention quizzes, gymnastics, meditation, and trot music playback. The latest model is equipped with ChatGPT-based generative AI, enabling it to carry on contextually aware, two-way conversations.
LiKU is an emotional AI humanoid social robot developed by Torooc, a South Korean artificial intelligence robot specialized company. Standing at a compact size of approximately 43 cm with an appearance reminiscent of a cute child, it recognizes human facial expressions, voice tones, and gestures in real time to read emotions. Its standout feature is its ability to smile back when someone smiles and interact through various facial expressions and rhythmic movements enabled by conversation and touch sensors.
Currently, LiKU is actively utilized in educational and welfare fields. In educational institutions such as daycare centers, it acts as a smart learning tutor that fosters children's creativity and imagination through customized storytelling and generative AI-based conversations. Furthermore, in senior welfare facilities, it serves as a reliable healthcare companion by acting as a conversation partner for the elderly, providing medication reminders, conducting health checks, and supporting cognitive function enhancement programs. LiKU is drawing attention as a futuristic AI friend that shares warm emotional connections.
