The CATT Center is a specialized institution that was recognized by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) in November 2023 as the first non-medical organization in Korea accredited as a testing laboratory in the field of medical device usability engineering. To enhance the safety and usability of medical devices, the Center provides comprehensive usability engineering services throughout the entire product lifecycle, from product design and formative evaluations to summative evaluations and risk management, while delivering customized usability evaluation solutions tailored to the needs of individual companies.
Leveraging an AI-powered multidimensional human factors analysis algorithm, the CATT Center systematically identifies and assesses use errors and potential hazards at an early stage, supporting the safe design and advancement of medical devices. Through reliable evaluations and research, the Center contributes to improving the safety and technological competitiveness of the medical device industry. In addition, by providing technical support and collaboration for companies in the age-friendly industry and assistive technology sector, the CATT Center promotes regional industrial growth and fosters sustainable, mutually beneficial development.
