Company Overview
structural answer to one of the most urgent problems of an aging society:
falls among older adults. In Korea, approximately 62.7% of safety incidents
involving people aged 65 and over are falls, and most occur at home or in
everyday surroundings (Korea Consumer Agency, 2022).
Our flagship brand, Francisco Walking Sticks, differs from the conventional
single cane. Instead of supporting one side of the body with one hand,
Francisco is held in both hands. Two feet and two sticks meet the ground at
four points, widening the base of support and improving walking stability.
Randomized controlled trials report that walking with poles improves balance
and functional mobility in older adults, and such gains are discussed as
contributing to reduced fall risk.
Each stick weighs approximately 200g, built with 7001 duralumin, anodized
finish, anti-shock absorption, twist-lock height adjustment from 62 to 95cm,
a wrist strap and a non-slip rubber tip. A stopper inside the tip prevents
contact with the pipe, so the tip wears evenly like a shoe sole. Replacement
tips are free for ten years.
Francisco is manufactured by a Korean specialist producer that supplies
trekking poles to global outdoor brands including K2 and The North Face, and
holds a certificate of conformity to Korean safety standards for canes for
older adults, issued by the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL). The brand
name is the founder's baptismal name, reflecting his commitment to make only
products he would confidently recommend to his own parents.
We are seeking import and distribution partners, beginning with Japan and
extending to other rapidly aging markets. Francisco is sold as a set of two
sticks for the self-funded premium segment. Minimum order quantity is 500
sets; unit price, trade terms and payment terms are agreed through
discussion. Inquiries: ecotarian@naver.com
