EDENLUX Corp. is a healthcare company founded by a physician who regained his vision after experiencing vision loss. The company developed OTUS, an AI-powered visual function training device, and has achieved over KRW 10 billion in cumulative global sales.
In today’s digital environment, the increasing use of smartphones and other digital devices is contributing to growing eye fatigue and declining visual function across all age groups, not only among older adults.
In particular, presbyopia occurs as the eye’s accommodative function weakens with age, causing significant inconvenience in everyday life. Unlike other muscles in the body, however, the muscles responsible for focusing cannot be easily trained through conventional exercise.
OTUS was developed to address this challenge as a home-based digital visual function rehabilitation solution.
OTUS combines patented adjustable optical lens technology with an AI-powered algorithm that assesses each user’s visual condition and provides personalized training programs, enabling users to conveniently manage their eye health at home without frequent visits to a hospital or clinic.
The eye’s accommodative muscles can be trained through repeated stimulation. Simply by wearing OTUS, users can effectively stimulate and exercise the accommodative muscles, helping strengthen visual function and alleviate discomfort associated with presbyopia.
OTUS is currently supplied to ophthalmology clinics, optical stores, vision therapy centers, and schools throughout South Korea.
